Woman as Prophet of Love

Coming soon: In 1988, Pope Saint John Paul II wrote an apostolic exhortation to women, “On the Dignity and Vocation of Women.” (Mulieris Dignitatem) The pope did not attack feminism, rather he outlined the natural, biblical truth about women. Women are prophets of love, conduits of God’s love to the rest of creation. Just as the Blessed Virgin Mary received the Holy Spirit and then brought forth our Savior, receptivity is PRIOR to creativity. In the home, or the office, or even in the Church, women have a unique and irreplaceable role in the Kingdom of God. They are prophets of love.
